ConnectWise Control Takes on all Contenders
Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
Though my profile reflects my role as a Pastor (and I am), my use of ConnectWise Control is to manage my IT clients in my other role as an IT professional and owner of an IT company. I have several small to mid-sized businesses that I provide IT service for and thanks to ConnectWise I can perform 95% of the service from my office. I would not be able to maintain my business without remote management of my clients as the closest one is an hour away. I have tried various other platforms but am also left feeling a bit disappointed. One of the primary weaknesses I have found in competing products it the occasional loss of connectivity, thus sometimes necessitating an otherwise unnecessary service call. I have used this product for two years and have ceased looking for a 'better' product. At this price point, there is no competition, IMO.
Pros
- I have never lost connectivity with any of my clients
- The ability to monitor networks remotely is a great time saver
- The money I generate from unattended support of my clients is amazing
Cons
- I would like to see the product bundled with a monitored AV program
- Integration with Untangle appliances would be helpful
- Performing tasks in 'batch' mode would be nice
- Multiple sessions allow my technicians to complete tasks in a more efficient manner
- The cost is low - the ROI is huge
Of all the products that I tested, Screen Connect continued to rise to the top.
