Use Cases and Deployment Scope

D&B Hoover’s allows me to do market research on other companies without having to purchase large market reports. Some of those reports can be $10k+ so having all that relevant info on the D&B database eliminates me having look in multiple places and spend outrageous amounts on single market reports

It has everything I mostly need with the exception of some of private company data being incorrect or outdated. A lot of the private company info seems to be a few months old if not older. Contacts without actual phone numbers if emails. Or incorrect persons at these companies also.

Alternatives Considered

D&B is much more robust than any other database I’ve used. It offers more info and volumes of information stored in one place versus using regular search engines or paying for other types of similar reports

If you’re looking for an easy, user friendly, searchable database for company info, financials & corporate contacts, then D&B is perfect. I use it solely for market research for medium to large size companies to get financial data and corporate contacts. It’s helps me build my Salesforce opportunities and it helps me to pass along that info to our sales group
