Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

Deputy is being used across our whole organisation. All of our staff members use it to clock in and out of their shifts, they can also view weekly rotas, review their holiday balances and request holidays.

Our HR Manager uses Deputy to plan rotas and share these each week with the staff, hold all our employee information, keep a track of holiday balances each year and approve or decline holiday requests.
  • Displays the weekly rota clearly.
  • Useful to have employee information in one place.
  • Useful and easy to view clock in times to monitor lateness.
  • Recently changed how you approve holiday requests - you have to put in a comment before you can press 'approve' - not sure why this is necessary?
  • Clock in function, sometimes staff complain they have checked back in after a break but it has not registered.
  • Would be useful if Deputy could remember frequent 'breaks' for staff and default to this.
  • Simple retaining of employee information at the touch of a button.
  • Accuracy on having real time evidence to deal with lateness of staff.
  • Provides exact hours worked for a company like ours who pay weekly.
We used Excel spreadsheets previously so this has obviously made a massive difference to our staff planning.

Very easy to use.
Very easy to integrate into the organisation. Deputy has a very simple and intuitive interface. All the kiosk apps work well. Impressed that they implemented a no-touch option (voice) during covid which was super helpful. The only downside would be that there isn't a good option to have a kiosk on a PC or mac you really need to use the app.
QuickBooks Online, Adobe Illustrator CC, QuickBooks Commerce (formerly TradeGecko)
Great for small-medium companies. I think really large companies would need more automatic functions.
