Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We have used Deputy to make announcements, to give out rosters and to clock on/off each shift. As we only have 8 staff members it is being used throughout the entire organisation between owners, manager, kitchen staff, bar staff and floor staff. It addresses the problems of making sure staff are reading all announcements and important information, as well as starting shifts on time.

  • Easy to post announcements and materials.
  • Easy for staff to clock on and off.
  • I'd like to see an area where staff can interact (like WhatsApp) privately.
  • Payroll accuracy.
  • Time saved.
Deputy is better as it has more functions and allows users to clock on and off from their shifts. It also allows us to send out rosters in one go instead of having to give them out over multiple conversations which saves time when we are already running on a very tight schedule. However, we do like the accessibility of WhatsApp when it comes to individual staff members being able to message each other.

It is a very good app, easily accessible, enables us to complete payroll a lot easier as well as having employees see who they are on shifts with. Would definitely like to see it more accessible for team members to be able to contact each other privately. This is where apps like Messenger and WhatsApp are better.
The implementation is fairly simple and straightforward. No one had any questions about how to access specific items within the app so I would say that overall the implementation was pretty good.
Great when needing to get important information across to team members, not as great when just wanting to privately message someone if you aren't in a managerial position. It is also really good at having staff clock on as we can see the photos and if they are actually at work or not.
