Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use it so the customer can get their files - for us it is important to use a system where others have control over the security, etc. We first tried with Google storage but it wasn't as simple (interface) to use as Dropbox, but the API with Google is easier than Dropbox. In my opinion, it's a bit of a pain that their API (Dropbox) is so stupid and hard to use.

Using Dropbox

3 - It is our developer, but most of all, we use Dropbox when we have to share files with our customers through our online system which is integrated with Dropbox, which we then have to update daily because, in my opinion, Dropbox's API is a bit tedious to work with and in no way user-friendly.
We have no support in-house.
  • More user-friendly API
  • API support
  • API plugin to a gallery in WordPress
In our experience, we have so many problems with their API that it has to be renewed almost daily for it to work which we spend a lot of time remembering to do because if we forget it, our customers lose their access daily. It's not a sustainable solution because their API is screwed up in a weird way than it was 5 years ago.

Evaluating Dropbox and Competitors

Yes - We used Google but are really thinking of switching back as we have more daily work every single day renewing an API code instead of it maybe working for a year like it was just 5 years ago. It is incomprehensible to us why they have chosen to change the time for the renewal of an API code.
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
The most important thing for us was that we must have cloud storage, and it should be user-friendly with an interface that functions as an admin. It is also a must that there was API. 5 years ago, we did a project where there were no problems with their API, but now it has changed so that we have to renew an API code daily, which is difficult, so we are looking for other solutions to replace Dropbox.
We would have continued with Google if we had known Dropbox had changed their API so drastically that it takes us a lot of time and energy to remember to manually update an API code daily otherwise our customers lose access, which in the end can make our company have to go bankrupt.
