Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We use it mainly for file storage. Marketing stores massive design files; Accounting shares budget spreadsheets. Shared folders replace endless email chains and having different versions of the same file. Version history prevents “final_final_v3” disasters. Remote access? Seamless. Need to send big files securely? Password-protected links handle it. Just simple storage and collaboration.
Pros
- Shows when it was last modified
- Permission access. Not everyone can see the entire storage. Just the ones that concern them.
- We like how straightforward it is.
Cons
- It can get confusing when trying to figure out which file is selected and under preview (a file could be selected, but not the one on preview)
- Nice to have: Intuitive naming suggestions (so we dont have to name things manually each time)
- Reduced time wasted hunting for files or managing versions saved ~20 hours/month per team
- Eliminated expenses for redundant tools (e.g., Google Workspace for storage)
- Faster client approvals (shorter project timelines) helped close deals quicker
Google Drive is not as user-friendly. Too many clicks to get to where you need to be
