Overall Satisfaction with Echobox

Our organization's editorial and advertising departments use Echobox for social media posting across all of our Facebook and Twitter properties. The editorial department, me particular, makes 24-hour-a-day use of the automation, which has freed up digital leads to focus on other important work without having to worry about the demanding task of social media posts across dozens of accounts.
  • AI automation has quickly leaned which story types perform the best across our social media accounts. Within a month of activating the automation, Echobox's automation had a high success rate of sharing only relevant content through its auto-feed.
  • Click-through rates for articles shared by Echobox on our social media channels have improved exponentially since activating the automation.
  • Echobox does a particularly good job of mining content metadata for share messages and general social post content.
  • We would like to see white label/list links implemented for sharing different site links to multiple different social accounts.
  • AI messages for shared posts are sometimes out of context or awkward phrasing/quotes.
  • Some errors occur with multiple post when sharing times out.

Echobox's AI provides a more well-rounded ability to share across multiple accounts, with more features like AB headline testing and optimal sharing times, while simultaneously allowing journalists to take advantage of automatic posting. We have also previously used a similar product called Social News Desk, though Echobox has proven to be more diverse at automation and adaptability of social posts.
Echobox's support staff have always been quick to respond to requests and tickets, and their support staff also provided us with several weeks of one-on-one coaching to help improve the automation and overall experience. This was always provided in a warm and friendly manner.

Echobox's automation frees up a lot of time for digital editors/audience managers to perform other relevant tasks. It's most beneficial for evergreen or normal posts in selecting the timing for the best audience reach. The automation did require some adjustment in terms of keywords to filter out as some content from our international news feeds was hours behind our local reporting, but these adjustments were easy and user-friendly. The user experience is easy to grasp, as staff had little difficulty understanding the concepts behind Echobox's sharing and automation. Breaking news is somewhat trickier to handle with automation—the AI does not always clearly designate which stories are breaking when staff is not there to oversee the auto-feed, so manual sharing is occasionally warranted. That being said, the automation learns more each time we share breaking content, so this should improve significantly as we continue to use the program.
