Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Exclaimer for email signatures sent via Exchange Online. It allows for thorough testing and full costomization based on role within the company, using Active Directory attributes associated with users.

It has the ability to add any form of text, company logos, images, etc. depending on your needs. Ease of setup and automatic directory synchronization make administration a breeze.

It would be nice to have multiple sync schedules with AD
Role based user access to give helpdesk users ability to sync manually
Support is based overseas, so timeliness of support for America is an issue

Return on Investment

Setup took only a couple of hours
Stability is excellent with no reported downtime in over 3 years
The ability to test before go-live is critical and appreciated

Flexibility

We have only used customization in a couple of cases, but it is worth exploring further and reaching out to the business to see if it meets a need that we are not currently meeting. Most employees aren't even aware that it exists, but as we've updated our signatures over the years, the ease of administration and customization has been paramount.

Security and Reliability

TLS transport to/from Exchange Online is obviously a critical security feature, and it works flawlessly with our email infrastructure.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is an excellent product for mid-to-large businesses, although smaller businesses may not agree with the price point. There are less expensive products out there, but it is stable, effective, and easy to administer.

There are also a few other products based in the USA, and, of course, you can always generate your own HTML signatures through Exchange Transport Rules, though it is not as straightforward and requires some programming knowledge.
