Overall Satisfaction with Expensify

We use Expensify as an expense reimbursement platform for our small venture capital firm. Expensify solves a lot of the automation problems that the prior expense reimbursement software did not.

Pros

  • Uploading receipts from mobile devices
  • Workflow in submitting reports
  • Integration with Quickbooks
  • Customer service

Cons

  • IRS mileage rate should be changed automatically, or at least suggested, once the new rate is announced.
  • You should be able to add mileage from the mileage map on the mobile device, not just browser
  • Streamlines the expense reimbursement process to save time
  • Employees get reimbursed faster
  • Every employee can take care of their own expense reports
It's quite intuitive and easy to use after set up is complete. The initial set up takes time but Expensify makes it as easy as possible.
Expensify is much easier to use from what I hear. I was not at the company when they were using Certify but there were fewer automations and people did not like it.

It is well suited for all expense reimbursement needs. I don't see an expense reimbursement scenario where it is not well suited.
