Email automation that is going somewhere!
Overall Satisfaction with Gist
For someone that needs user-friendly email automation for website visitors, especially if your website is built on WordPress, it works very well. Their simple and straight forward interface is critical for beginners and experts alike. However, do note like with any platform, that there is a learning curve, especially with some of the targeting features. We use the platform for website interactions on our website and it takes care of everything from emailing, collecting emails, chat, and tracking.
Pros
- Ongoing monthly development cycles, with robust targeting.
- Simplified interface, which has gotten simpler over time.
Cons
- Opportunities exist with the chat feature.
- No visual workflow for the email automation feature, but it's still user-friendly.
- Positive features with the fact that the tracking features allow you to identify anonymous visitors.
- Email automation works fine, it seems like they force you to do 2-step authentication but maybe I just missed the setting.
No two email and customer automation tools are the same. They each have their little advantages so it's hard to compare them all because they all have little strengths and weaknesses.
SendinBlue is a bit more visual - both with their visual workflow editor, and their email creation tool, they are cheaper, and has more integrations, and even more simplified. But Gist offers more options for targeting, has more lead-gen features, chat tools, and supports integrations which SendinBlue does not. ActiveCampaign is much more expensive, and also has some nifty features but it's questionable if they would have all of the features that Gist would have. They are so many tools out there at this point, the only way to be sure which one would fit would be to take their trial and try it out for yourself.
