Overall Satisfaction with Gong

We leverage Gong for a myriad of different things including onboarding/training, pipeline management and more. Of all the tools that I leverage, Gong is used the most aside from SFDC.

Gong allows me to quickly identify areas of my pipeline that are red flags by providing a range of alerts and notifications. It also provides a great visual representation of my pipeline health. Pipeline management is also a breeze in that I can update opportunities right within the deals tab. From time to time, we have reps that leave and pipeline is inherited - it happens. With Gong I can quickly get a recap of key items within an opportunity and use AI to get answers to any other questions that I have.

Cons

  • From an end user perspective, allowing admins to disable the ability for reps to create deal boards is a miss. A rep should always be able to have better visibility into their pipeline. I think the solution would be to always allow the creation of a deal board, but only make it visible to the end user. I've used it less since my boards were removed by admins.
  • For me personally, it saves me several hours per week VS managing my pipeline in SFDC - a huge help!
When you're on calls, you miss things. You're often multi-tasking. In that respect, Gong listens and captures information better than people do live on the call in most instances. You see that clearly when you go back and review calls.
Yes, they do. Their AI generated call recaps and follow up email capabilities are highly accurate and actionable - also a time saver as well.
I've been able to leverage Gong to have visibility into competitive mentions during meetings in aggregate across all calls. This allows our enablement team to focus on training around those we are seeing most in the market in the day to day. The same can be said within my personal pipeline/territory.

Gong is an invaluable tool when it comes to onboarding. As a new rep, it gives you access to thousands of call examples that you can tap into immediately to learn from. It's also incredibly useful for post-sale teams that will be managing relationships, to be able to go back to previous discussions and review.
