Gong is probably one of the best tools to train your employees and support them with their day to day customer calls and meetings
Overall Satisfaction with Gong
We use it for training purposes, to record and organize internal meetings, to organize our deals, to track our deals and to archive our meetings inside the database. We also connect Gong to our CRM to automatically send info from our meetings directly to our CRM as notes in order to save some time.
Pros
- Managing our deals
- Forecasting
- Training for newcomers
Cons
- Its AI capabilities
- Some UI decisions
- Privacy transparency
- Faster onboarding for employees
- Clearer forecasting
- Better training
The AI is good for taking notes and analyzing them initially but if you want to ask questions about calls, it doesn't give elaborated answers and will rather keep it short. I tend to copy the transcription of the whole call and paste it into ChatGPT to have longer, more elaborated answers.
It has helped me spot what really matters to my customers. By reviewing calls, I can see common questions, objections, or new topics coming up repeatedly. That way I notice trends early, like when competitors get mentioned more often or when budgets get tighter. It gives me clear insights instead of just guessing whatβs going on in the market.
