Overall Satisfaction with Gong.io

We use Gong for the tracking and review of all customer and prospect discussions. Multiple departments have access in order to share raw information. The biggest issue it solves is reserving information that was not originally extracted from a call that can be reviewed at a later time. Great for poor note takers.

  • Counts certain words for analysis
  • Shows when individuals are talking at points in the call to allow skipping
  • Occasionally it does not record...unsure why
  • API to calendar can sometimes act up
  • I would like to see an integration with Salesforce
  • Increased productivity
  • Able to focus on the task at hand
  • Transparency across departments
I have not used a alternative to Gong, and expect that is for a reason. Gong has its issues but overall I would suffer without it. The ability to have all discussions organized and catalogued is massively time saving and something I believe that every sales department would need to have.
You can pull all sorts of reports on an individual call level up to a macro level of all calls done. This allows you to analyze what you consistently do well or poorly or what you may have done in just that one circumstance. I feel all of these reports meet my needs and more.
Gong is great for when you would like to record a phone call. Having the information on hand afterwards allows you to review the call again and make sure that nothing has been missed. Without this I personally wouldn't be able to focus as needed on the call at hand while it is happening.
