We used GoodData to distribute reports, a dashboard and insights across whole organisation. It's well prepared for self-service and explanatory BI, features which people sadly almost never use by themselves.
Logical data modelling and XAE (MAQL) are reasons why I like using GoodData for projects where I need to connect small chunks of data from multiple sources and enable holistic analysis across the whole company quickly for everyone. With PowerBI or Qlik Sense you need 5 times more people and resources just to get things running. Looker is expensive, Google Analytics Premium is expensive and ill-suited for anything else other than e-commerce. Tableau doesn't support collaboration and report distribution properly.
If you need to do things fast, like start a BI department in days, maybe weeks, GoodData is awesome - especially if you want to analyze sales data. If you need to build a reporting solution with hundreds of GBs and analyzing transactional data, GoodData is not the best tool.
