The Ubiquitous Golden Standard
Overall Satisfaction with Google Analytics
As a marketing agency, we use Google Analytics as a secondary point of reference against our primary analytics provider, Adobe Analytics. We use it for select accounts by request, but we also use it so we can have conversions tracking in our paid search efforts in Google. It basically allows us to use specific bidding strategies based on conversions and is a free, relatively easy way to do so.
Pros
- Easy to use and set-up.
- Free platform.
- Ties directly into words and Google tag manager.
- Relatively easy to navigate - Great UI.
Cons
- No real issues - Great platform.
- Doubled ROI when combined with AdWords when using a "Maximize Conversions" bidding strategy.
- Easy to provide reader-only access.
- Easy to create and add reports.
Both are great, just different. Most clients believe Google is the golden standard due to the strong presence of Google's brand everywhere, but Adobe seems to have stronger, drill down tracking at the expense of a harder to use interface.
