Excellent Collaboration and Productivity Application.
Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
Although we use Microsoft Teams and Zoom more, we still have had a need to use GoTo Meeting in certain circumstances for those clients that use it as their de facto standard. We've used it for Meetings and found the videoconferencing element to be very useful. Audio and Video performance are generally very good with little distortion, interference, latency or lag ever experienced. The application is simple to operate and extremely user friendly. The intuitive setup enables users quickly to get used to the many useful features. For collaboration and sharing data it has proven to be comparable with Teams.
Pros
- Excellent for Audio and Video conferencing features.
- Simple to operate with user-friendly capability.
- Strong in areas of Collaboration and Presentations/Webinars.
Cons
- Security needs to be enhanced (Encryption can be an issue and also controls around authentication and authorization).
- User Interface issues (small fonts, small screens, small chatbox, unrecognizable users, etc.) can cause problems. Also, it can be awkward to use some functions like mute, swapping presenters, etc.
- Costs are higher than competitors and is the main reason it is not our standard.
- It is a more expensive product than its competitors.
- Has improved productivity whenever we have used it.
GoTo Meeting stacks up well against Teams, Slack, and Google Meet in terms of functionality, features, performance, and productivity. The only major downside as aforementioned, is the Cost, which is considerably more than the other 3 and Zoom. GoTo Meeting is very much our 3rd main product and is on par with Slack in terms of how much we use it. We just find that most of our clients and customers use Teams and Zoom, and it is easier to facilitate their needs by using these Applications.

GoTo Meeting Feature Ratings
Using GoTo Meeting
400 - They represent all the major functions from Sales and Distribution, Marketing, Logistics, HR, Legal, Production and Operations, and Finance. All groups interact with one another and users have become comfortable using the tool/application, although our default collaboration tools are Microsoft Teams and Zoom. We have found a growing number of users that have a preference to Go To Meeting over the other two.
10 - The people supporting the Go To products also support other software within the company including Teams and Zoom, so we don't have specialists as such assigned to a single software. Any issues we encounter such as latency/lag with connectivity or glitches are generally resolved within a very short period. We rarely have problems that last a considerable length of time.

Evaluating GoTo Meeting and Competitors
Yes - No, it was the first tool we used for collaboration, meetings, video conferencing and seminars. It had been superseded somewhat by Microsoft Teams as that application and Zoom became more prominent during lockdown. However, we are finding with its ease of use, agility/versatility and simple user interaction that it is 'catching up' in its usage with the other two (Teams and Zoom).
- Ease of Use
- Other
Its simplicity of operation, ease of use, and straightforward integration and implementation were all factors in why we chose the product. When we started using it, is was also a cheap proposition and comparatively less costly than the competition.
I would look at the the importance of collaboration even more. I would look at other features too - recording of meetings, stronger encryption, dedicated failover (in case an internet connection went down), better integration with other applications and having a more stable API would all definitely be at the top of my list.
