Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
I provide regular virtual training, and my preferred platform is GoTo Meeting. It is very user-friendly and straightforward to set up. I can record the sessions, so I have them for reference later, and I love that when given permission, users can share their screens as well. I also have quarterly user meetings for more significant numbers of users, and GoTo Meeting is my preferred platform for those meetings. Attendees can unmute themselves and interact in the chat, and it's a great platform to host those meetings.
Pros
- It's very easy for users to sign on to the platform, and there's no registration required.
- I love that there is a desktop application, so I don't always have to remember the website address and log in each time I want to set up or attend a meeting.
- It's a really great way to track attendance.
Cons
- There does seem to be some inconsistent incompatibility with audio - I've used the same headset for the last several years, but in recent months, GoTo Meeting has randomly not recognized the headset and will fail to use ANY audio from my computer; I've had to call into the meeting via the telephone.
- Sometimes, the zoom-in option doesn't work correctly - it would be great if I could type in the zoom percentage as opposed to it only doing 10/25 differential options.
- Over the last 12 months, I've hosted at least 100 meetings on GoTo Meeting, with up to 50 people in attendance at some meetings. It has been a great platform for those meetings because of its usability and ease.
- Users always mention how easy this platform is to use compared to others they've used.
- We will continue to include GoTo Meeting in our budget planning as it has had such an impact on our ability to conduct meetings virtually.
GoTo Meetings has no time limit for sessions with more than x attendees. GoTo Meetings provides an easy way to allow attendees to share their screens. GoTo Meeting does not require membership/license/registration attendees; they are not required to download the desktop application. They can attend from the web if they choose to do so.

Ease of Use was probably the most critical factor when selecting a virtual meeting platform. We connect virtually with our users every week; some are not tech-savvy and need a simple platform to connect with us. GoTo Meeting has surpassed our needs by leaps and bounds.
