Good value over competitors, but less known and less integrated
Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
With our workforce spread around the country, we needed a solution that allowed easy virtual meetings, as well as the occasional remote control of a presenter's device. GoTo Meeting provided those functions and more, in a package that was recognizable to all of our existing users as well as external attendees.
Pros
- Easy to set up meetings.
- Straightforward controls and interface.
- Outlook plugin is especially helpful.
Cons
- Not as widely adopted as other solutions like Zoom or Teams.
- IT can't use it to support users.
- Able to hire more remote workers.
- Gives us the option of implementing BYOD for certain employees.
- Added cost over Microsoft Teams, which we already have through our O365 subscription.
- Zoom, Microsoft Teams and BlueJeans Meetings
GoTo Meeting ended up costing less than a comparable Zoom enterprise license, though it's still an additional cost over Microsoft Teams, which we are technically already paying for as part of our O365 subscription. Functionality is largely the same as Zoom, though end-users who may be accustomed to Zoom sometimes have some initial difficulty with the GoTo Meeting interface, that's typically quick to resolve.
