Overall Satisfaction with Greenhouse
We use Greenhouse to manage our hiring pipeline. My recruiting team manages the software and the accounts, but all hiring managers in all departments have access and responsibilities to use Greenhouse in the hiring process. We use the data in Greenhouse to refine our phone screens, change processes in interviews, and tweak our hiring profiles based on the success or failure of hiring cohorts.
Pros
- Tracks job applicants
- Keeps recruiting pipeline well-maintained
Cons
- It's very easy to give hiring managers too many questions to answer and notes to fill out.
- Our managers have a bad habit of keeping the program open during interviews to prevent making notes after an interview.
- Greenhouse helped us to find our ideal customer success employee, which drove down the number of new hires quitting to zero and extended the average lifespan of a customer success employee.
- Greenhouse has shortened the time necessary to evaluate potential frontline employees, speeding up the hiring process.
I was not the decision-maker in the evaluation and purchasing of Greenhouse. My team has continued to use and re-sign with Greenhouse every year, so our satisfaction with the product is high. I cannot speak to the merits of other software at this time, but I am happy with Greenhouse and will stick with them for the foreseeable future.
