Phenomenally Helpful at Documenting Processes
Overall Satisfaction with Guru
Guru serves as our firm's internal wiki. We use it to document processes, policies, best actions, and pretty much everything in between. I often feel like my parents in that whenever an employee asks me how to do something I first ask them if they've checked Guru. More often than not the answer they are looking for has already been documented. It's been a huge part of our company's growth because it is a central location for everything any employee could need to know.
Pros
- Documentation of Processes
- Reinforces company culture
- Uses generative AI to help write basic documentation
- Serves as a central location knowledge base
Cons
- I'd like to see Guru use AI to start cross linking cards automatically
- I'd like to see Guru use AI to use the conversations in Slack to write processes
- It has reduced time requirements to train new employees
- It has reduced time requirements for employees to complete tasks
- It provides an avenue for the employee to feel important when they get to write new cards
- Notion
We elected Guru because of ease of use, the requirement to have cards verified by the company expert on that topic, and price point differences.
