Overall Satisfaction with Gusto

We use Gusto for payroll and contractor payments. It has streamlined the payroll process in that you click a button and its taken care of. Contractor payments are also easier and having them both in the same space makes reconciliations easier.

Pros

  • Processes payroll
  • Pays contractors with direct deposit
  • handles tax payments and routinely scans for any changes
  • Simplifies the onboarding process of new employees

Cons

  • The reports specifically the payroll journal is cumbersome for a ytd or qtd
  • The cost is number one - it has saved the company money and that with a great product is number 1!
  • We have saved time because everything is streamlined and it then adds the journal entry to QBO every payroll automatically.
It was very easy to get it up and running. The onboarding of employees was simple and easy to do. I no longer have to worry about payroll or making journal entries to get payroll into our accounting system.
Gusto is the far superior product.

It is very well suited for small to midsize companies. Employees, contractors are all easily paid via direct deposit. Benefits can be handled by Gusto as well really stepping in and taking care of HR where most small businesses don't have an HR department.
