Overall Satisfaction with Heap

We leverage Heap to review campaign analysis and website analytics in one place. Our campaign analytics manager creates a dashboard for all our launch efforts to track these key analytics in one place. It's a useful reference point for putting together executive or cross-functional presentations on analytics. The dashboards and charts allow us to easily customize our view to see what an exec might be looking for and look for areas we can improve.
  • It's like what Asana is for project management, Heap is for analytics
  • Dashboards and data are easy to pull together
  • Easy to change views of the data and pull different things
  • Limited functionality on data
  • Charts and tables are not full customizable vs. what you can achieve in Excel, etc.
  • Hard to find and organize dashboards, they all end up in one long list
I haven't previously been in a tool like Heap. In my previous companies, there was a much larger dedicated team to analytics that would pull data and present it within custom dashboards in Smartsheet or other tools like PowerPoint, Excel, etc. This allowed me to get far more in-depth information on our analytics and even analysis from that team for suggestions in the future; however, it did not allow me to manipulate the data myself. That would be a separate request, whereas in Heap I can pull and analyze data myself.

Do you think Heap delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Heap's feature set?

Yes

Did Heap live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Heap go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Heap again?

Yes

Like, Asana for project management I feel a little restricted in the analysis of web traffic and analytics, you can create basic charts, graphs, and pull tables but nothing particularly complex. This is a great tool if you're pulling basic analytics across a large number of campaigns, particularly if analytics is not your forte. The data is easy to access and very easy to read/understand. You cannot create custom queries on data which can make some analysis tough.
