Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

Hootsuite is used by the marketing department to post social on two channels. Our corporate channel and our consumer channel. We have linked Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. It addresses time concerns of having to continuously post live on these channels. It also allows all the members of the team to see a snapshot of what's coming down the line in terms of social and tracking our mentions.

Cons

  • The ability to see and answer comments in Instagram
  • Scheduling reels in Instagram
  • More analytics
  • Great for time management
  • Excellent for organization across many members
  • The ability to schedule into Pinterest and see it across a calendar
Meltwater is much more expensive, however, it provides vast more analytics than Hootsuite. Meltwater is excellent for really large corporations that have someone dedicated to analytics all the time.
Overall as stated before Hootsuite is a great affordable way to organize your social media. Especially if you are a smaller company with little to medium level social media. The scheduling and organization [are] really great, it's simple to use and the price point is excellent for a smaller company.

Hootsuite is a great tool when that's affordable. It's not as robust as some but if you have a few social channels it's really great. It's easy and intuitive to use and provides some excellent insight as well as a great overview of social. If you are a large company with many social channels it might not be the best fit, however.
