Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos Analytics

We encourage all users of our EHS platform to use Cognos and we provide base reports, dashboards, and training for every user that wants it. Our Cognos implementation gives a holistic Organization-wide view to the Executive team and also provides granular, real-time data to managers etc.

  • 100% of customers who were offered Cognos accepted it, helping drive sales and adoption
We could deliver a corporate wide solution with Cognos, it is an end-to-end platform. No other option provided the same breadth of scope. I can't think of a feature that the others provide that Cognos lacks, but the others do not provide the same features and governance of data with user/data security in mind.
We provide training on these exact capabilities and offer custom report/dasboard builds on an SOW basis. Along with our standard reports and dashboards this has allowed us to satisfy all of our customer needs.
Very important. All users are assigned roles and "scope". This scope is enforced in models, allowing us to provide single packages which satisfy 1,000s of needs. Power BI and Tableau can't do that!
Users (Authors) can build and customize their own reports and IBM provides "pixel perfect" access to design and format.

Comparing the "Big 3", Cognos has the bases covered. No other solution provides *all* of the benefits. User adoption/training is key, once users can build or even just modify reports and dashboards, merging their own datasets to governed corporate data, and setting subscriptions (via email) they are thrilled. Implementing Cognos has satisfied 99% of requests/complaints from our customers regarding access to their data!
