Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We use Insightly in many facets of our business, but for me the tools addressing project timelines and management are most useful. With hundreds of authors marketing hundreds of books in cities across the country and Canada, it's useful to have every deadline (hit or missed!) as well as all incoming and outgoing communication about each project, at my fingertips. Pipelines and project funnels make it easy to get that high-level info at a glance, while historical sales trends help us decide where to acquire new projects.

Pros

Cons

  • time lag during some functions
  • Helps us stay in connected communication across several remote divisions of our work (production, sales, PR, author management, etc.)
Seems good overall but I only use a few functions for my role so it's difficult for me to speak to the overall picture. Once I trained on the areas most germane to my day-to-day, it's easy for me to find and manipulate what I need.
Most of our work team is not full-time onsite, and having one repository with everyone's most current status and workflow reduces duplicative and unnecessary communication.

Love it for title and author management and communication, as well as higher-level future planning based on past trends.
