Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We started using Insightly in order to better organize our internal customer database of ongoing and future orders. We needed a better way to keep tracking of customer contact information, addresses, and what their purposes was for contacting and working with our company. We keep track of all of our purchase orders, sales orders, invoices, estimates, and much more in Insightly.

Return on Investment

We do not have any hard numbers or stats on how Insightly has helped our business but it certainly has a positive effect on data organization and follow-up reminders with customers.

Usability

Anyone with any experience with a working knowledge of Facebook or using a Windows computer will be able to quickly adapt to Insightly and use it to suit their needs. It can become more difficult to use as a company might have custom workflows or Insightly customer service might need to customize the program to better suit a company's need. A slow introduction to the system is better than having to learn the program quickly. Parts and knowledge build on each other so it hard to grasp all at once. The learning curve for Insightly is 2-3 weeks while mastery comes with time and exposure to the program.

Integrated Platform Solution

It has made it much easier to assign tasks to different members of the team and manage those workflows. It is easy to be assigned a task, complete it, and move the pipeline to the next stage as needed. Sometimes it gets confusing if a pipeline has to be reversed or cloned but that would be true for most programs that have the abilities of Insightly workflow management.

Alternatives Considered

Intuit Mailchimp, Canva and Microsoft SharePoint

Insightly actually have many different fields and customization options for data management. Other programs do not have the ability to organize data in this way. It is easy to manage customer contact information, phone call and email tracking, company management and many other data fields. Microsoft and Google do not provide equivalent programs or services. Insightly customer service is quick to respond and address issues. It just takes quite a few emails in order to properly specify an issue or request.

Likelihood to Recommend

If a business has a simple workflow for purchasing a product or service for a customer and they want to keep track of this workflow then Insightly is very useful. The more complex a business operation is then Insightly starts to become difficult to use. I would recommend Insightly for small and medium sized businesses. Large businesses might have issues delegating tasks across many different users in a large company.
