Overall Satisfaction with Intuit Mailchimp

We send monthly emails to let the parents of our students know what is happening in class and to share photos. Providing a glimpse inside an extracurricular activity is so important for parent retention and email is a great way to do that. It also attracts new customers, who see the content they are missing out on.

Pros

  • Email builder is very intuitive
  • Integration with Canva
  • Email insight reports

Cons

  • Segmentation is clunky and not intuitive
  • No in-email video playback capabilities
  • Customer insights are hard to find or missing
  • My CTR averages 2% - it is hard to say how much actual business this drives
  • My open rates average 40-60% which is helpful to know as I consider needed information
  • The 3rd party integrations could be better, but probably save me 5 hours/month in manual uploading
This is not an area that I have been able to leverage as effectively as I would like. Part of it is the clunkiness I have experienced, part of it is my own lack of time to invest in figuring it out
  • Sign-up forms
  • Campaign templates
  • Email marketing
  • Integrations
Im sure they have but I do not have the data on this. The platform has allowed me to make my emails look for professional and mobile-friendly, which I'm sure has increased my open and CT rate.
I used to use the SMS campaigns but they became too expensive and I did not see the ROI. I also did not have the capacity on my time to leverage them.
I appreciate the lower cost at our lower size. We have not yet hit a scale that utilizes this capability, but I see that coming and know that the tools I will need are there.
Generally, the basic functions I use it for are very usable. However, I think there are ways that I COULD use it more, but I don't because they feel daunting to navigate and figure out.

Do you think Intuit Mailchimp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Intuit Mailchimp's feature set?

Yes

Did Intuit Mailchimp live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Intuit Mailchimp go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Intuit Mailchimp again?

Yes

Great for simple e-blasts or texting campaigns. Less good (or I haven't yet figured it out) on more custom campaigns and automations. For example, identifying a new contact and pushing them through an onboarding journey has been very hard to figure out. I also struggle with segmenting based on geography (at the state level)
