Overall Satisfaction with Join.me
Join.me is used to obtain remote access to a computer or server for the first time. Typically, I will install a permanent, unattended, remote solution once gaining access. Join.me does a great job of providing an easy to use website that users can browse and initiate the remote connection.
- Easy of use for the end user, well-designed webpage.
- Simple, quick download for quick remote connections to workstations.
- Several nice features after obtaining control and overall an efficient tool.
- Technically deficient users sometimes have trouble with the website domain name.
- The connection can be slow at times when trying to obtain mouse and keyboard control.
- Latency when clicking or typing as well as bugs when focusing on specific windows on the remote computer.
- There is a free version of Join.Me so the ROI would be infinity on that product.
- The pay-for edition is inexpensive and works great for initial remote connections.
- Overall ROI is minimal as it's an economically priced tool.
Join.me is the easiest and quickest of all of the tools, but the least functional and efficient for long-term use. If an end user is unsure of providing unattended remote access, it remains as a top tool. Otherwise, once connected, installation and use of the other tools are much smoother and easier.
