Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training

We use it for the Phish Alert Report button, which users can use to report suspicious emails (real or training), for real time feedback or for it to be vetted by our IT team. We also use them for yearly security training and remediation training when a user does click on a test email. When they fail a test email by replying, opening an attachment, scanning a QR code, etc., they are immediately enrolled in a short training to remind them of the dangers of not being vigilant as well as suspicious things to look for when looking at emails.

Pros

  • Yearly Training
  • Remediation Training
  • Phishing email reporting
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Better Reporting on past trainings
  • More options for how the Phish Alert Report Button works
  • Tailored training based on job roles
  • Increased Employee Vigilance
  • Enhanced Security Culture
  • Risk Reduction
I've heard from several employees that KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training's training material is much more engaging than others they've taken with other companies, making it more effective. KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training also does a great job keeping things up to date in their yearly trainings and monthly email blasts, keeping it from feeling repetitive and boring.
User management is relatively easy. You can upload a CSV if you're starting from scratch or create individual users/multiple users at a time with the press of a button. You can move users in and out of trainings with ease. We even have it set up in a way that when a new user account is created on our DC, they immediately get enrolled in the yearly training.
The metrics we mostly use are about clicking statistics: what people are clicking on, how many clicks/replies/attachments opened, etc. I also use it to get graphs and charts on interesting trends that I use to send out in monthly email blasts to all employees letting them know where we stand and what users are falling for.
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training gets a ten out of ten. It's very easy to implement, maintain, and make changes. Adding the Phish Alert Report button into Outlook was painless, and setting up training just takes a few clicks. The UI feels modern and is very easy to navigate, both from the admin and user sides.
I can't speak for any of them, but all had been considered. Proofpoint came highly rated but we decided to go with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training.

If you're looking for a way to train your users on security, KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training is great. They also have a good way to gamify it with leaderboards, badges, and ways for users to see their scores so they can figure out where they can improve. Setting up this feature was great as users were always wondering what their scores were and how they could make it better. It also has a ton of other features that (for an additional fee) you can integrate and make it even better (I imagine).
