Strong Recommend for KnowBe4
Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
I'm the lead admin in my school for KnowBe4. I assign training to new staff and run an automated quarterly phishing test that goes to all of our 160+ staff. Those who fail the phishing test are automatically added to a group that has required remediation training. Since we've been using KnowBe4, our phishing prone score has improved and many staff have been able to successfully avoid phishing scams.
Pros
- Automated testing of enrolled staff-we have a quarterly phishing test automated.
- Huge library of resources in various formats are available in their library.
- Allows multiple ways to create/sync user accounts.
Cons
- Many items in the library aren't applicable to our use case, and it's sometimes difficult to filter out what I'm looking for.
- I don't love the training dashboard, but maybe that's just a "me" thing.
- Setting up groups can be tedious.
- We've had several phishing attempts that were "emergencies" to update banking information that users didn't fall for, so that has saved potentially thousands of dollars.
- I don't have specific-hard numbers, but I do believe KnowBe4 has been very valuable to us.
I appreciate fresh content because the landscape of cybersecurity is always changing, and my staff don't want to do the same training year after year. I've seen how phishing and other attacks have changed in the 7 years that I've been in this position, and KnowBe4 is doing a good job of keeping their training updated and relevant to the current issues.
I used to have to manually add users, but now I can sync with Google (Microsoft and others are also offered) to automate my user account creation. I haven't done much with account grouping, but that is also an option. Admin can also upload users with a CSV if syncing isn't an option.
There are a few scores and dashboards available in the system. The one I look at most is the phish prone score. Ours is below industry average, so I definitely appreciate (and validate) that. There is also an Organizatio Risk Score that is broken down listing various security types. They also include a SAPA (Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment score that is broken down by service area. This is also helpful in targeting weak spots.
