Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We use Litmus to check and proof the content of email across multiple different devices and browsers. This is done for multiple different clients who have different methods and style of delivery for their electronic communications. The most prevalent channels are email and mobile push so the views in different email clients are very useful
Pros
- Range of browsers
- User interface
- Integration to other software platforms
Cons
- Licencing
- Cost
- Customer Service
- Reduced QA time on email proofs by 80%
- Halved the number of rounds of QA required
- Made clients more sticky by increasing confidence levels in output
This has undoubtedly saved a lot of time for us but probably more importantly has led to non technical users on the client aide also being able to interact with Litmus and control the testing and proofing process themselves. This increases confidence in the quality of work being provided, as well as prompting ideas for new features in their emails once they can see how they are rendered across different ISPs and email clients
As per the previous answers, the ability to see how different platforms are displaying and formatting content has led to a change in not only the design of certain emails, but also it has input into the channels that are being used to broadcast certain campaigns. It has helped visualise the ideas that look good during design, sometimes don't translate well to broader customer base and the tools they may be using to consume content.
Email on Acid appears to have some new features and the user experience has been really good. The most noticable difference though was the licencing model and the cost. Litmus suffered from the way it priced the licence (for us) meaning it was prohibitive to use the platform too much. Email on Acid offers unlimited previous at a fraction of the cost which is extremely effective for us
