Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
Our marketing team uses Litmus to test html email rendering, make code adjustments, and optimize how are emails are coded, to be responsive and render across different devices and service providers. I have used the testing and building functions to test how emails are working, as well as the collaboration function to share feedback with other coders and designers. Our team uses the service across a number of our regular email campaigns prior to a campaign launch. We find it very reliable and works very well and quickly prior to our live campaigns sending out.
- It allows you to see email previews and rendering across devices on one screen
- It easily integrates with email automations tools that we use, which makes the email testing process run smoother and quicker
- It provides a good amount of detail when any technical issues arise in html codes and provides recommendations for fixes
- The folder structure and being able to locate email tests that I've worked on before can be a tedious process
- Being able to customize what devices you would like to preview an email off of for each individual test can be time consuming
- Some of the analytics tools available like Avg. Open Rate can not always be reflecting accurately depending on the UI set up
- Litmus has had a positive impact with our teams ability to be more productive and save time with email testing
- It has enhanced our speed to produce high quality email marketing campaigns
- It has lead to increased engagement with the ability to provide recommendations to enhance the code for different device types
Being able to conduct email testing without having to switch to another tool has made the email testing and review process quicker for all of our email marketing and design team.
Metrics around email engagement and open rate have helped us at times with how we optimize and update our email marketing strategy. It has not had a significant impact due to our relying on other metrics from other tools in our marketing tech stack. This is one area where I would like to see improvement with being able to integration Litmus reporting capabilities directly into our email automation tools.
Our team has used the Proof tool from time to time to collaborate on new digital work and new brand initiatives. The commenting feature is very useful and allows us to go back and trace feedback from others across our marketing and design team. It is a feature that others on the team find useful and one that I'd like to start using more frequently.
Litmus has a stronger industry wide reputation and is more widely used across larger marketing teams. The overall capabilities, product enhancement and tool set far exceeds the capabilities of our tools I have evaluated before. Litmus is always coming out with new product features and innovations that make the overall benefits of the product greater than others.
