Overall Satisfaction with LogicMonitor

LogicMonitor has played the role of backbone for our security systems. We use it to keep an eye on our servers and the stability of our systems. As a QA, I use it check if the problem reported by a user is an actual system problem or just a glitch. It has removed the guesswork by providing us alerts and usage patterns. Overall, we use it monitor our servers, cloud setup, and important parts of the application.

Pros

  • Stop the outside access to our systems immediately.
  • Our server data is secure from outside access or unauthorized access.
  • The automation has reduced the manual work to minimum.

Cons

  • Dashboard should be more easy to use for new users.
  • User Interface should be fast while showing the graphs and or switching views.
  • Alerts should be more customizable so we do not get so many alerts.
  • Security of our systems are improved with it.
  • Data is secure than ever for and our clients.
  • All the systems are secure either they are onsite or remote or in cloud.
  • System monitoring cost has minimized.
LogicMonitor manages all our systems, like we have around five hundred to 600 systems for our employees, most of which are in our office, which are secure with LogicMonitor. It also keeps our hybrid or cloud based systems as well. Some employees are either working remotely or traveling for company work. Most of the servers are on the cloud, and those servers are also secure with LogicMonitor as well.
We do not have any specific plan for cloud migration of our systems. But we are planning to take all our server systems to the cloud as soon as possible for security and backup reasons. I think soon all our data and most of our work will be working as real-time updates to those cloud servers, so that as soon as our members' work is done, they will be uploading their work to the cloud.
Automation in LogicMonitor has made finding issues faster and more reliable for us. Instead of logging into many different systems again and again to check performance, we just get alerts when something goes beyond the limit. This helps us react quicker and also reduces mistakes that usually happen with manual checks.
The implementation of LogicMonitor was smooth for our team. LogicMonitor arrived at our office they deployed it on all our systems. They also trained all our employees on it, and they left one of the experts of the LogicMonitor for a few months for our better understanding of the product. The support team is always there if we need any kind of help.

I was one of the members who were looking for a better application for our system security, and we tried Datadog and New Relic. Those software were very good for normal usage. New Relic was working fine until we started facing problems if any sudden system increase as it was not able to detect those systems at speed. Datadog was good it had customization issues for us. So we decided to go with LogicMonitor.

I do not remember any specific case when it helped us accurately. But something happened this Friday as we were working on a project, and that project was not deployed till that time. We had the data of that project in our local servers and in the morning someone tried to access the data from outside somehow taking access to our company server and there it was the LogicMonitor as it blocked that user and provided us the specific IP address of that user. So, I would say it is the best for blocking the access of outsiders.
