Overall Satisfaction with LumApps

We use LumApps as our Intranet site where all the employees can post and read all the latest and greatest news related to the company.

Pros

  • News and Articles
  • Quicklinks
  • Organization Chart
  • Polls

Cons

  • Very tedious and difficult to customize the page in terms of alignment, borders applying graphics
  • The domain customization is still missing (the url says sites.lumapps.com/xyz)
  • The communities can be better specially adding videos with thumbnails.
  • News and articles can be made visually more appealing in terms of effects. (Scroll, bounce, fade, slide, etc)
  • Copying and pasting already created page into different section is not possible
  • Effective way of coomunication with employees
  • Employees have access to all the links and documents at one place
  • Stable platform thus saving technical team some cost of maintainence
Not easy to edit the pages or copy and paste already created pages to a different sections.
The google integrations are good but still have room for improvements as they are not that smooth yet.
Google based platform was more suited for our organization since we are on a G-suite

Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft), Lucidchart
LumApps is suited if your organization has pre-determined templates and page layouts it's not suited for the people who wants to create a page layout from scratch and use creative layouts as it takes a lot of time to add widgets and align them together as per one's idea.
