Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp for all email campaigns, some social media posts and sometimes to create postcard mailers for the entire organization. It allows me to manage different campaigns, send targeted campaigns and review the behavior of recipients. It also allows me to manage all my contacts easily by integrating with our CRM and website contact form activities.
- Templates to use for emails
- Recent updates allows more flexibility with type of campaigns
- Good reporting structure
- More templates to choose from would be great
- Maybe a bit better organization in contacts, but still great
- I am able to constantly update messages based on responses
- It is a relatively low cost way to market our services
- The reports show me who has an active interest for follow up
I think Constant Contact may be more robust, but also more expensive. I like the cost effectiveness of Mailchimp, and they are always adding to their templates and useability. Mailchimp is just as user friendly, and like I said I think a bit more cost effectivene for small to mid-size businesses.
I am able to do many marketing campaigns, manage contacts, tag contacts for targeted campaigns, create landing pages for campaigns, social postings, mailers, and more in one place. This saves time by not making me go from one tool to another to create a good campaign. Time is a precious commodity that I don't have a lot of so it's great to not have to move around a lot. I'm sure I'm not utilizing all the tools available to me, but give me more time and I'll be on it!
I've been able to get my message out to a wide range of contacts, either all together or by targeted campaigns. I've learned quite a bit about how emails are delivered, what makes some undeliverable, how contacts react to one campaign vs another, what makes a good email and why someone would open it. I think the most important lesson is to be consistent in messaging across all channels. Mailchimp helps with that.
