Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
It was used within our marketing department to push monthly emails until we moved to a more targeted approach. For the most part it is great for smaller companies, or those who aren't using more in depth e-commerce tracking. It gives a clean interface to make simple emails look great overall.

Klaviyo is what I left Mailchimp for. It does everything Mailchimp can do but better. They go a lot deeper with automation as well as how they segment and target their customers. Klaviyo does cost quite a bit more money though, so you do pay for what you get. Overall, Mailchimp served the purpose it was created for.
We already had much more advanced tools in place, so we didn't need to use most of Mailchimp's all in one marketing features. We used them purely for their email marketing content creation and to try and track business through their platform. Overall, even the tracking wasn't as accurate as Klaviyo.
I think for the most part it was a great stepping stone to get us more involved with email marketing in a simpler way. We want to have an easy way to get our information to our consumers in a longer format than social media and it did exactly that for us.
