Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

I use Mailchimp to send quarterly newsletters to my subscribers and for targeted communications to participants that sign up for events. It ensures that our subscribers stay informed of our upcoming schedule of events.

Pros

  • API integration within a vast ecosystem of applications
  • Flexible contact customizations
  • Campaign performance and subscriber open/click through reporting

Cons

  • Email template design on free plan is very limited
  • Commercial starter plans are very cost prohibitive
  • Features that were freely available were taken away over time and made paid capabilities
  • Time savings for event management
  • Increased automation in communication
Free plan subscribers don’t get support, not even email support
I only used it as an email automation platform
I have since migrated away from Mailchimp.
