Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power BI

Our organization uses Microsoft PowerBI to build dashboards and actionable insights from those dashboard data. These dashboards provide department and business leaders with visibility on what is happening, where we are improving, and room for improvement. The actionable insights help practitioners to understand what steps they need to take to improve on results.

Pros

  • Simple and easy to understand/visualize interface.
  • Drag and drop features to build dashboards.
  • Integration with our Salesforce CRM.

Cons

  • More AI-led insights has to happen.
  • Licensing feature/Pricing can be improved.
  • Sometimes, data sync does not happen in real time but with a lag - Rare case but still observed.
  • Higher productivity.
  • Better insights on next steps.
  • Better visibility.
Microsoft PowerBI is easy to implement, onboard, self-train, and improve. It is very easy to use, build dashboards (Drag and drop), and share with respective team members. The team members can also understand and adapt to the platform seamlessly, and thus, this improves overall likeability and usability.
Microsoft PowerBI is easy to use, has leadership alignment, and is liked by everyone using it in the past and in the current setup. Thus, we decided to continue renewing Microsoft Power BI. We had also evaluated some competitors, but those platforms were not as easy to onboard. Because of this, we didn't replace them.

It is still the best dashboard tool to show visibility to our leadership and also build actionable insights. There are few competitors, but because of its slick interface and easy-to-use dashboard-builder tools, it can be adopted by any organization without investing in significant training on resources. It may be less suited for an organization that does not have enough data or a team to build insights on.
