Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams was used on a daily basis to stay connected, especially during the pandemic but not only that. It is a highly collaborative tool to help create synergy between our own data science team, but also with all the other teams that support us in our daily work or per project. What we love about this tool is its own ease, convenience, and how fun it is to use. Also, all the other integration aspects with Office 365 and OneDrive help improve our efficiency. It was possible to feel and work as if we were working next to each other. Obviously, it will never replace a real in-person meeting, but the quality of the image and sound make this tool one of the best to stay connected in any condition. The fact that the tool has an app is fantastic to be able to respond and message anyone quickly, even taking calls or meetings while away from your computer. I never really had any complaints from my team or experienced any problems with the tools, except for some control function that was not implemented at the beginning, like the spotlight that could be used by anyone or the fact that the organizer of the meeting could lose control.
  • Stay connected with your teams
  • Document sharing functionality
  • History of the chat and search function
  • Small teams that could be created per project
  • The control functionality could still be improved when you organize a big meeting.
  • The mute function could be improved because sometimes, you just don't want to be interrupted during a presentation or work in progress.
  • The status is sometimes not working properly; you can stay available all night or away even if you are not.
  • Reduces need to travel
  • Reduces need to have conference and or meeting rooms
  • Increased work-from-home capabilities
The support is always great but takes time. Also, when they're a problem with the tools, you will have to go to Twitter or somewhere else to get information. Also, it's not like you need tons of support; the tools don't have many functions. The ones that the tools have are pretty simple.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

I would have given it 10 if the app version could stand the desktop version in terms of robustness, capabilities, and functionality. This is sadly not the case, and more and more you could see workers only relying on their smartphone and using Microsoft Teams through it, which makes the experience for the desktop user not very good.
Honestly, this tool is worth every penny. Yes, it's not free and you pay for the quality of services and the license. But the ROI and the benefits are all there. Also, the renewal, negotiation, and contract terms are all very well explained by our Microsoft account manager, and she's a charm.
It's well suited for when you need to stay connected and work in teams with your peers. This is not an email tool; this is a collaborative tool, a chat and a communication platform for video chat, calls, etc. But this tool works best when in front of your computer; for any sales or on-the-road kind of work, I'm not sure this is the best tool. Many of the communication problems are generated by users who use Microsoft Teams through the app, are far from a strong WiFi signal, or are outside. It's also like a walkie-talkie; it doesn't work well when two people talk at the same time.
