Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We use Microsoft Teams for internal communication, for internal and external meetings and for internal file sharing. It helps keep us on the same page when working with clients and each other. It keeps us on track when working to set up new clients and communicate with them. It also allows us to share documents internally and with clients. I am now looking forward to my company moving to a Microsoft Teams phone system as well!

Pros

  • Allows my team to communicate and set up smaller teams to share information appropriately.
  • Allows me to send out and connect to clients over Face To Face communications.
  • Allows me to coordinate between other MS products.
  • Allows my team to share documents internally and with our clients.

Cons

  • Some documents updates seem to be delayed as when I rename a document. If I immediately open it, it still has an old name on it or won't open as it is named "the same" as a document I already have open.
  • Some documents won't show up or be updated for a coworker when I update them.
  • Some button placement is dangerous. As in when I was trying to let a person into a meeting, yet they were let in by someone else, when I clicked, I ended up muting the speaker by accident.
  • I can't truly say what the financial impact has been, but I do know it helps us serve more clients more efficiently than having to travel to face to face meetings all the time.
  • It can save on gas mileage and risk. We had two on the road people that were in car accidents (not their fault) this year! It's nice to know the worst that might happen is you spill your coffee!
  • I think it also helps to be able to share things immediately and to jump on things you may have forgotten prior to the meeting. I was able to adjust a presentation on the fly when the client had questions we didn't have a slide for!
It is pretty easy to navigate, although finding everything you need can be a challenge at times. The Activity notifications can be a pain as they often tell me things I already know. It is super easy to hop on a quick meeting with a coworker or to set up a meeting with a client with numerous people to interact with.
  • Zoom Events & Webinars
They have similar features, but Microsoft Teams works relatively seamlessly with other MS products that we also use such as Office and MS To Do. Microsoft Teams is easy to set up an share meetings with both internally and externally. Microsoft Teams also gives us more options when collaborating within my team and outwardly with other teams.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Microsoft Teams works great for our internal Team Meetings. We are able to connect and share information about our work week and also share training and ideas using PowerPoint slides and other screens.

Microsoft Teams works well for our client presentations. We use PowerPoint and face to face communication to present complex information and can take questions from our clients and their employees and answer them in real time.

When trying to communicate with a group audience in a larger room, such communications have been less successful, sometime requiring more verbal information sharing and follow up.
