Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Primarily for intra-company communication. There are often multiple people working from other locations so using it as an easy chat/call function is our main use. The ability to instant message quick questions/updates easily helps us avoid lengthier conversations, particularly when people are busy. It has also become the primary method of meeting with clients now, with very few using other platforms.

Cons

  • It sometimes struggles when trying to choose correct audio/video inputs, which can be frustrating
  • Better presentation capability
  • Overall performance could be improved - it's often quite slow
  • It's made us significantly more efficient in quick intrateam communication
  • Much easier way to meet with clients quickly - no-one seems to use any of the alternative platforms any longer
  • Calendar integration could be better though
Generally speaking it's easy and quick to use, but it crashes relatively frequently and can sometimes run quite slowly. Better optimisation of the software and how it runs on the machine could make it easier to use, but broadly speaking it's good. Good integration with the mobile phone app too which is handy.
Microsoft Teams is better than both Zoom and Google Meets to me. It seems to have the functionality of both these platforms and also that of Slack for internal messaging. It's more of a "one-stop-shop" for both these needs which makes it a handy piece of software for use in the workplace.

Instant messaging other members of the team is the best use of it. Calls are also useful, but there are a couple of downsides where calls don't always connect properly. One area it could improve significantly is file transfers - proper integration with Sharepoint and also the ability to send files to others would be a big improvement.
