Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Communications. We're solely working from home, so Teams has been helpful. Although it has some very annoying quirks, it serves its purpose as our main communication platform. We use it for meetings, setting up online events, and overall general chat across the whole organization.

Pros

  • Setting meetings.
  • Chat system.

Cons

  • Search is a huge thing, it can be inaccurate at times.
  • Log in sometimes is clunky, or random log outs.
  • Online status is not accurate at times.
  • Positive, as it comes with the Microsoft Office suite, so no need to purchase it as a separate chat platform.
  • Being able to also search for files, has been a life saver on times.
If you have the full Microsoft Office suite, it works really well because it's integrated well within its ecosystem, but if not, it can be annoying because it tries to open a shared file in the web versions of the file equivalents. The web version is also a bit slow, and the login is very difficult to handle if you have multiple Microsoft or Outlook accounts.
Breakout rooms are a very good feature that should be added to the platform. Google Meet ranks above Teams on the web, as it's pretty lightweight; Teams tries to do so much, making it very slow or unstable when just using the web version. Teams is superior to Zoom when it comes to chat and integration with other platforms.

It is pretty good for a chat platform, but if it's marketed for work or corporate jobs, it's missing some features. There's no way to make breakout rooms, which has been a feature on other platforms for years. On the other hand, general chat and group chats are pretty helpful as well.
