Overall Satisfaction with MindManager

It is used primarily in the IT organization as a part of the Requirements ingestion and Project ideation.

  • Intuitive and simple interface.
  • Excellent tool to help to provide a more concrete representation of abstract ideas.
  • Great integration with MS Office applications.
  • Project management capability was a bit weak.
  • Template and map creation is somewhat difficult.

Great use of contextual information management (tags, group of tags, icons, attachments, links, notes). There is great integration w/ MS Office (Outlook, Excel). Excellent time saver and provide quality visual management capabilities.
Cost and ease of use.
Mindermanager is an excellent tool for capturing ideas in a brainstorming session. The tight integration with MS Office allows you to easily export to Office applications for use in briefing slides.

However, it does not seem to be extremely effective when using as a PM tool
