Overall Satisfaction with Miro

It is being used by a small programme within the organisation.
  • In online meetings, Miro allows small groups in breakout rooms to capture info on a template board - no need for facilitation of each breakout room.
  • Mind maps - really flexible compared to some other software.
  • Personal planning - I use it to gather thoughts, inspiration, create future plans.
  • Brainstorming in online meetings.
  • Zooming, scrolling, and moving around the board, especially with a trackpad.
  • Automating features - like adding the same template to every individual user's private board.
  • Improved quality of learning for programme participants thanks to excellent mind-mapping capability.
  • Improved social interactions between participants on a remote experience - using Miro templates with pre-set questions for them to fill allowed them to share personal details that may have been difficult to elicit through conversation.
It was easy to integrate.
We have used it at the brainstorming phase of new projects, usually done in-person. It worked very smoothly.

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
I prefer using Mural to be honest, but Miro has the free option for educational institutions and so that made it a no-brainer when it came to selecting it for our higher education institute.
Great for online working with adults. Less appropriate for children and young adults. Great for asynchronous brainstorming with dispersed teams.
