Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used as a collaboration tool at the department level; teams use Miro to create flexible workspaces for projects and initiatives, bringing in stakeholders, working partners, and teammates to leverage lightweight and easy-to-onboard tools for digital teamwork. Miro is especially useful for a digital-first, and in the future, hybrid, workplace.
  • Low latency, high throughput, high capacity of concurrent users.
  • The intuitive core functionality is easy for new users and rich/robust for power users.
  • Board access control is straightforward and quickly resolves requests.
  • Occasional/rare latency and sync errors between users.
  • Allows for faster ramp-up time within projects.
  • Allows for faster team onboarding.
  • Allows for rapid information sharing, enabled by robust search.
Releases, from what I can see, are stable and unobtrusive to our production or research environment. Changes are communicated effectively and do not detract from everyday operations. Wayfinding, breadcrumbing, and overall UX are excellent -- new ways to engage are shown to me, and clearly explain how I might be able to use various features.
Readily available plug-ins, tools, and templates make Miro an easily expandable tool that grows with one's familiarity with the program. Additionally, cross-compatibility with existing tools, such as Microsoft Office or Google's online productivity suite, make it so that one can leverage the productivity tools that work best-for-them, in a digital collaboration space that works best for a team.
Our team operates between multiple timezones and multiple continents. Miro extends the asynchronous flow of information beyond chat, allowing for thoughts and ideas to be placed in space, and across time. Teams can gather in Miro from their homes all at once for a group discussion, or throughout a week on their own. Across time, Miro's archival capacity can allow for quick semantic searches to see what other work has been done recently, or generally in the past.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited for intra-departmental collaboration between agile project teams. If a team is familiar with the level of security and appropriate accessibility for a rich, digital whiteboarding workspace, then Miro is a great fit. For "traditional" workflow management tools like versioning and diverse file management and supporting, Miro can still be leveraged but functions fundamentally different from a shared file repository.
