Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro all across the company with several thousand licenses. Main users are facilitators creating workshops but also brainstorming sessions. I've used Miro myself in different formats to organize team meetings and product increment preparation and readiness workshops. The functionalities Miro offers make it easy to create successful meetings even with widely distributed teams.
Pros
- Templates for meeting agendas
- Easy surveys/votes on topics
- Great visualisation help
Cons
- The integrated apps concept is not easy to use for most users.
- Licensing model is not easy to understand.
- Resource consuming on client hardware when working on bigger boards.
- Saved on travel costs
- Saved on meeting time
- Substituted a standalone voting tool
We changed our approach from having a lot of on-premise workshops and meetings to a reduced amount of meetings throughout the year. The typical every three months planning meeting was conducted in a hotel conferences center before - now we do it online with the help of meeting software and Miro.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
We also tried Microsoft Whiteboard where the feature set is not comparable to Miro. Especially shapes and connectors are not yet up to date and also some functionalities we got used to like "bring everyone to me" cannot be used so far with the Microsoft Tool. Perhaps the features set will be expanded in the future - we are usually checking other tools every now and then.
