Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro in our industrial design studio classes to collaborate within our project teams and with the rest of our classmates, especially during the research synthesis and ideation phases. It works super well to be able to all see what the other team members are doing in real-time and leave constructive comments to help with the design process.
- Giant whiteboard space with ability to zoom in for more detail.
- Provides templates for lots of research synthesis methods - empathy map, journey map, etc.
- Seeing other users' cursors helps us communicate better and better understand what each person is talking about/referring to.
- I would love to be able to change the color of the sticky notes. I always work with a specific color palette and can change the color of the rest of the shapes accordingly, but the sticky notes just don't match.
- I would like the ability to download new fonts into Miro. As a designer, visuals are very important and having the ability to import our own fonts makes a huge difference.
- The object snapping is hard to use when I get a few shapes and objects on my board. It tries to line objects up with other shapes all the way across the board instead of the shapes right next to it, so I end up having to eyeball it and guess where halfway is.
- Better idea development throughout the design process.
- Better grades.
It's makes working with people online much easier than other programs, like Google Docs, because of the large space and the ability to see each others' cursors and watch what they're doing.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
Yes
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
Yes
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
Yes
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
Yes
Miro allows for a much better work flow because you can put lots of phases of the same project on the same board and be able to export individually. Plus the ability to see cursors and actually see what other people are working on, not just the end results.
