Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a software developer and tech lead, I would expect the software architecture to be understood by all. Miro helped us draw a smooth architectural diagram. The navigation is sleek and one can see a larger architectural diagram with a few mice drags. we are also using this software for Quarterly team activity planning.

Pros

  • Drawing a smooth Architectural diagrams
  • Easy collaboration
  • Seeing Real time editing from other users. No need to refresh

Cons

  • I would like to have a feature like collapsing a large diagram into a small square. Let's say if you have a large architectural diagram connecting 100 applications/boxes. Small of them should be collapsed into a group. For example, in a collapsed mode, I would like to see some 5 boxes connected with each other. Double-clicking the collapsed box should expand to show all the application/boxes within that
  • A different board should be added as a shape, double-clicking should navigate to the board.
  • Hide toolboxes mode is required- where I should see only content and all other tools should be hidden
  • It really helps us reduce our analysis time because we have all the connected systems in a single view
  • Saves a lot of time when working on a collaboration task where I can see what others are doing currently and others can see what I'm doing
  • Sharing the content is easy. I don't need to worry about whether the content
  • the file type is compatible or not on the receiver side. It is always a web link that can be opened in any modern browser.
Miro's ability to show the content in 400% zoom is awesome. I really love it and I don't see any loading delay when Zoom is in and out. The current set of templates is more than enough to cover all cases.
I can see Miro can be integrated with other applications like Teams, Jira, etc., I worked on Jira integration which helped us track the existing Jira tickets within a MIRO board. I don't need to duplicate an existing Jira with a new item in the MIRO board.
It really has a major impact. Collaboration is key in a meeting for a better outcome. Our team is spread across the globe from the UK, Sweden, India. I can see the live movements of what my colleagues oversee are doing currently, that's impressive

It is well-suited for drawing larger software architectural diagrams, workflows, etc., It is not so great when we use this tool for Team planning.
