Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a solution to replace the whiteboard meetings we used to have before we started working from home due to the COVID crisis. The main use case for us is brainstorming/sharing ideas for product creation.
  • User interface
  • Real-time collaboration
  • Quick start - can be used almost immediately without lengthy account creations
  • Miro is sometimes slow when used by too many people simultaneously. It can make my browser freeze and cause the Windows app to be unstable.
  • When whiteboards get too large it is hard to see their content. I need to zoom in on them all the time.
  • The ability to do brainstorming from home (no need to commute) results in better time efficiency.
  • Reduces the cost of using a physical office.
  • For international projects, we save the travel costs of needing to get people to the same place.
Miro integrates perfectly with our remote work environment (Zoom + Google Spreadsheets).
It made it much easier to collaborate with our teams abroad, especially during the pandemic.

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We tried InVision Freehand and experienced the app being very slow, even with only a few users using it simultaneously. However, its UI is very good, specifically the design collaboration. Miro is better for exchanging text-based ideas.
Miro is great for small to mid-size companies who want to brainstorm ideas online. We use it in combination with Zoom and Google Spreadsheets. However, from my experience, in scenarios where too many users are involved Miro gets messy and slow.
