Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro for working alone as well as working in teams, which comes especially handy with remote work and studying online. I have used Miro in the past Corona-Online Semesters with students I have never met before and it worked surprisingly well since we can evolve ideas, share links and summaries in real-time. The templates are super useful as well plus for group works the timer is a great tool. All in all, Miro is THE thing that makes online studying work -- I don't know what I would do without it. (Get mad very often, probably.)
  • Collaborative working.
  • Evolving ideas (in groups, but definitely also alone!).
  • Helping to keep the overview over a big project (big plus).
  • Combining everything that is needed for remote work.
  • Working with a trackpad on a board that is quite loaded can be very annoying since it keeps zooming in and out for no reason... but I feel this has improved a lot lately.
  • The switch between trackpad and mouse sometimes did not work very well.. I just saw that there's an auto switch now though, so this problem seems to already have been solved.
  • When brainstorming with a simple mind map, new-made arrows "auto-connect" with the closest text-cube, while sometimes I just want to make a new cube, instead of just an arrow to the closest cube (a bit hard to explain what I mean, I hope this makes sense).
  • Improved productivity.
  • Improved problem solving.
  • Improved overview on large scale projects.
It all works intuitively -- nothing more to say!
Because it works super easy. I used Miro for example as a tutor with a group of students who never used it before. I gave them a quick introduction and they instantly worked very well with it. So all in all I'd definitely recommend taking the five minutes it takes to set up an account and just -- start!
I use Miro as a student and I think it is the tool that makes studying online actually work. I used it to work with students I have never seen in real life and it definitely helped our workflow and gave the feeling of working together, which without a tool like Miro would not have been possible. (At least I don't know a true alternative.)

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I haven't tried any other. I'm simply very convinced with Miro and honestly don't know of any true alternatives. Also, I have the education license through my Uni, so I don't have to pay for it (which may also play a role in not searching for any alternatives.. but why would I? It works wonderfully.)
It helps to sort out the mind, to evolve ideas alone or in groups and helps the thought process with many many tools like templates, a timer, a comment function, in general, the real-time collaborative working, to-do lists, and so on. Also, it is very intuitively designed. All in all, it is very well suited for the field of design or, on a broader scale, everything that involves evolving processes and working constructively.
